How to Create a vCard QR Code

  1. The Contact type is already selected above. Fill in the fields you want to share: name, phone, email, company, job title, website.
  2. Watch the live preview update. Fewer fields make a cleaner, easier-to-scan code.
  3. Choose error correction level H if the code will live on a printed card that gets handled a lot.
  4. Download PNG for print shops or SVG for design software like Figma, Illustrator, or Canva.

Put it on business cards, email signatures, conference badges, or a sticker on your laptop. Networking becomes "scan me" instead of "let me type your number".

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vCard QR code?

A vCard is the standard file format for contact details (the same .vcf format your phone's address book uses). A vCard QR code embeds that file in a scannable code: when someone scans it, their phone opens a pre-filled "Add contact" screen with your name, phone, email, company, and website already entered.

Does it work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes. Both iOS and Android recognize vCard data from the native camera app and offer to save the contact directly. No app installation is required on either platform.

What should I put on a printed business card?

Keep the vCard fields short (name, one phone, one email, company, website) because more data means a denser code that is harder to scan at small sizes. On a standard business card, print the code at 15-20mm minimum, use high error correction, and keep strong contrast between the code and the background.

Can I update my details after printing?

No; this is a static code, so the contact details are encoded permanently. That is also its strength: it never expires, needs no subscription, and cannot be disabled by a link-shortening service going out of business. If your details change, generate a new code. For frequently changing details, encode a URL to a profile page you control instead.

Is my personal information uploaded anywhere?

No. The code is generated entirely in your browser. Your name, phone number, and email never leave your device, which is exactly what you want when encoding personal contact data.
